Ongo · EKYDNA
Ongo helps you understand your own health data by modeling it against your personal baseline. Because the app works with sensitive health information, we keep this policy specific about what we collect, why, and where it goes.
Ongo is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The assessments, forecasts, and answers Ongo provides are informational interpretations of your own data and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical condition or decision.
Ongo is operated by EKYDNA, a sole proprietorship. For any privacy question, data access request, or account deletion request, contact us at support@ekydna.com. We are the party responsible for the personal data described below.
With your explicit permission, Ongo reads health and activity data from Apple HealthKit — for example sleep sessions, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), wrist temperature, and related activity metrics. You choose which data types to share, and you can change or revoke this access at any time in the iOS Settings or Health app. Ongo does not receive HealthKit data unless you grant permission.
When you sign in or subscribe, we process an account identifier (including Sign in with Apple identifiers where applicable) and subscription status. Payments are handled by Apple; we do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We collect a minimal amount of technical information needed to operate the service — for example device type, app version, and error logs — used only to keep the app running and to diagnose problems.
Ongo's servers are located in the United States. If you use Ongo from outside the United States — including from South Korea — your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on a limited set of service providers to operate the app. Each is described below, with the data involved, the purpose, and the retention period.
| Recipient | Country | Data transferred | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anthropic PBC | United States | Health metrics (e.g. sleep, HRV, heart rate) and related context | AI interpretation to generate assessments, forecasts, and answers | Processed per request; not used for model training |
| DigitalOcean, LLC | United States | All app data (HealthKit samples, assessments, conversation logs) | Server hosting and storage | Until account deletion, then deleted |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | United States | Subscription and purchase identifiers | Subscription management | Until account deletion, then deleted |
| Apple Inc. | United States | StoreKit purchase tokens, Sign in with Apple identifiers | Payment processing and authentication | Per Apple's privacy policy |
Data is transferred over encrypted connections. When your health data is sent to Anthropic for interpretation, it is used only to generate your result and is not used to train models on your data. You can decline this processing by not sharing health data, though core features will not function without it.
We may use anonymized data — data that cannot reasonably identify you — to understand usage patterns and improve the service. Where we do this, the data is separated from your identity. If our use of anonymized data changes materially, we will update this policy to describe it.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, which immediately and permanently removes your personal identifiers. If you'd rather not use the in-app option, you can also email support@ekydna.com and we will process your request.
You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you can withdraw consent for health data collection at any time by revoking HealthKit permissions in iOS. To exercise any of these rights, email support@ekydna.com. You may also revoke Ongo's access to HealthKit directly in the Health app without contacting us.
Ongo is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact support@ekydna.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
